Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED American Heart Association course

This course teaches child care providers, teachers, nannies, babysitters, parents and grandparents to respond to and manage illnesses and injuries in a child or infant in the first few minutes until professional help arrives.

It covers the Four Steps of First Aid and pediatric first aid skills such as finding the problem, stopping bleeding, bandaging and using an Epinephrine pen, as well as child CPR AED and infant CPR. Optional modules in adult CPR AED, child mask, infant mask and Asthma Care Training for Child Care Providers are also available.
 

The base modules of Pediatric First aid and infant & child CPR/AED are offered as a 5 1/2 hour classroom course (adult CPR can be added for an additional hour) or as a NEW blended learning option , part 1 of the course is completed online and part 2 and 3 practice and skills check off is completed by appointment with one of our AHA instructors.  A 2 year completion certificate from AHA is awarded upon successful completion of skills testing.

The classroom course can be split into 2 sessions:  1-three hour session covering first aid topics and 1-three hour session for infant & child CPR or four hours with adult CPR.  Or CPR and Pediatric First Aid can be offered as individual courses-contact our office for this option. Recommended for staff caring for children.  Meets MO child care licensing requirements for CPR & First Aid and is approved for MO childcare clock hours for those with MO childcare IDs.

Minimum group size for classroom course is 4.  Blended learning option can be offered for one or multiple participants.  Course can be offered at your facility or scheduled at our office located at 9058 Watson Rd, Ste B, St. Louis, MO 63126.

Part one must be completed online prior to attending the practice and skills session. 

You can purchase part one of the Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid CPR AED course at www.shopcpr.heart.org or www.worldpoint.com for $20. Best to purchase part one during the week if need customer support downloading the online program.

Fee for small group Practice and Skills session only(purchase part one on your own):  $64 for infant & child CPR with pediatric first aid or $69 if add in the adult module but must complete part one online on your own at www.onlineahaorg.

Fees for Blended learning option:
Part 1 of the Heartsaver Pediatric First aid/CPR/AED is completed at http://onlineaha.org
Choose Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED part 1.  The fee for the online portion is $20.00 and takes approximately 3-4 hours to complete.

Small Group Practice and Skills Session at Safety Basics: $64 for infant and child CPR/AED & pediatric first aid
Add in optional adult module and fee is $69.

Individual Practice and Skills Session: $75 for infant, child CPR/AED, and pediatric first aid appointment takes 60-75 minutes.  Add in optional adult module and fee is $79 and appointment takes 1.45 hours.

Learn adult, child, and with infant CPR and how to use an AED, how to help all ages with a choking emergency.  2 year completion card received upon completion of skills testing.  Students must be able to perform cycles of chest compressions and give a return demonstration.
