Basic Life Support Blended Learning Course: Heartcode BLS

This American Heart Association course is recommended for healthcare workers, healthcare students and the professional rescuer.  The new course format allows students to complete Part one of the course online using dramatizations, eSimulations, animations, self-directed learning and interactive activities to teach students Basic Life Support knowledge and skills. Part 2 and 3 is a structured hands on Instructor led session that focuses on skills practice, team scenarios and skills testing using feedback manikins.  Upon completion of all course requirements each student receives a 2 year AHA completion card in Basic Life Support.

This completion level course teaches one and two 

rescuer adult, child, and infant CPR skills team practice 

with mock code, first aid for choking,  how to use a 

bag mask device and Automatic External Defibrillator 

training for the healthcare worker, healthcare student (nursing, EMT, OT, PT) or professional rescuer in any 

setting. Electronic Completion Card provided the day 

of class for  pre-paid reservations upon successful 

completion of skills and multiple choice test.  

This course is for first time students learning 

Basic Life Support, for students with an expired 

Basic Life Support card, for students wanting more

 hands on practice and instruction, for students going 

back to work in the medical field after a break.

Fee: $68/person (must obtain book on your own) 

  As of July 22, 2019, you must purchase the American Heart Association Basic Life Support Provider 2016 edition book at Worldpoint Medical at www.worldpoint.com (item #15-1010 or digital ebook version item # 15-3102 each for $14.50) or through the American Heart Association at www.shopCPR.heart.org  The book is required for class.

Fees include a digital/electronic 2 year American Heart Association completion card for participants completing all course requirements.

 It is recommended that each student have the AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider textbook CPR ECC , copyright 2016  readily available for use before, during, and after the course.  Textbooks are designed for individual use and are an integral part of the student's education.
